It's kind of amusing, when you see an organization that hasn't really joined the 20th Century. Sorbara Law and Activa (no real web presence) just Don't Get It. You can't sue a housewife for a couple of million to shut her web-site down with impunity these days. They are now facing the wrath of a million or two righteous bloggers, and the stench surrounding their actions will live with them both for a good long time hereafter.

Effectively, in the court of public opinion, they have both proven themselves essentially slimy, even before they get anywhere near a legal court. Good luck living it down, boys. I sure wouldn't buy a house from you or hire you as my lawyers, not because of anything Ms. Lanteigne said, but because your sickening behaviour proves you have no ethics at all.

Right or wrong as your case may be, SLAPPs just make you look like assholes these days. And having been tangentally SLAPPed a couple of times already myself, gosh I hope this goes to court and Ms. Lanteigne wins most outrageously.
